2 green Mangoes (non-ripe) cut into small pieces
50gms of GUD (Jaggery) or sugar
1/4 tsp of turmeric powder
1 tsp of punch-phutana seeds
1 tsp ghee or oil
Salt to taste
Method of Making Mango Pickle / Amba Khata :
1. Pour two/three cups of water into a pan and put in medium heat
2. Add the pieces of mangoes, turmeric powder, molasses/sugar and salt
boil them until the pieces of mango are cooked properly
3. Fry the punch-phutana in a frying pan until it splutters and then adds the curry leaves
4. Mix the fried punch-phutana with the boiled mangoes from Step 2 and serve.
