Spicy Fry Beetroot


Enjoy the delicious fry beetroot with Roti , Rice and also you can also have it with Water Rice (Pakhala) .

Beetroot (pieces) cut into small pieces or grated
Onion 1 chopped
Green chili 1chopped
Curry leaves few
Mustard seeds ½ tsp
Asafetida /hing a pinch
Chana dal 1tsp
Salt to taste
Oil 2tbsp
Fry Masala 1 tbsp:- (1 tbsp coriander seeds, dry red chili 2, bay leave 1 piece, cinnamon stick 1 inch, coconuts dry 2-3 pieces or grated 1 tbsp) roasted it lightly also grind them coarsely powder.

Spicy Fry Beetroot Making Process : 

Heat the oil in a pan; add the mustard seeds sauté it till crackly.
Then add Chana dal & saute it till golden color.
Then add curry leaves, hing, green chili, onion & saute it for 1-2 minutes on a medium flame.
Then add beetroot pieces, salt with masala powder & saute it well. Then close the lid for 4-5 minutes on a low flame. Then remove the lid & saute it again close lid beetroot are tender.
Then open the lid & saute till it dry moisture. Turn off the flame.
Now ready to serve.
