If you are looking for a perfect place for a picnic or group feast (banabhoji), then Dam-Damani is the perfect location you are looking for. Dam-Damani has located about 15 km from Choudwar, Cuttack .  Tourists from different parts of the state come here every year for a picnic .

Damadamani Pitha is one of the famous picnic spots in Cuttack. The place is named after the Goddess Dam Damani, located amidst a green forest of Dalijoda and a perennial stream flowing nearby. This is mostly known for picnic and Lord Damadamani and most visited by picnickers and devotees.

According to the ancestors, The Pandavas during the exile had remained incognito near the kingdom of Birat. The forest was a hunting ground of a king, but today is a part of National Forest Reserve.
