Small and Beautiful Fest. @ Jagatpur
Lord Karthikeswar Puja and immersion festival is celebrated in Jagatpur. It is believed that the villagers are celebrating the festive since years . As published earlier , Jagatpur is situated to the river bank of Birupa under Cuttack Municipality. The small and beautiful village is famous for Kendrapara Canel, Bat Forest, Maa Andhari temple and Gopinath Temple .
After the Puja of Lord Karthik on the day of karthik Purnima , the immersion ceremony is held 1 day after the Chadkhai (The last day of the Karthik Month) . The processions of different Sahi’s make their way to the Festive ground and the next day , the procession again start to the river Birupa . Visitors from near by places come to visit and enjoy the festive .
