Renowned Odia Actor Debu Bose Passes Away at 75

Veteran Ollywood actor Debu Bose died at the age of 75 after prolonged illness on Wednesday night. The Odia actor had worked extensively in films and television shows, died last night at a private hospital in Hyderabad. Bose popularly known as Debu Da had earlier suffered from two heart attacks and was undergoing treatment in Hyderabad from the past four months. The actor who was popular both in Odia and Bengali film circles has more than 130 films to his credit.

Debu Bose was one of the most famous actors in the Ollywood, the Odia Film industry and rose to prominence after portraying the role of ‘father’ in superhit Ollywood films like Akashe ki Ranga Lagila,Phula Chandana, Suna Chadhei, Pua Moro Kala Thakura, Samay Kheluchhi Chaka Bhaunri, Ki Heba Sua Posile, etc.

He was not only an actor, but he was also an expert dancer and choreographer. He had also received training from renowned Odissi dancer Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra. He had also directed several plays during his stint with a regional theater group ‘Diganta’.
