IPL Commentary in Odia in Jio Cinema – IPL 2023
This year viewers can watch IPL in 12 Indian languages commentry including Odia. The Odia Commentators Debashish Mohanty, Basanta Mohanty, Rashmi Ranjan Parida, Biplab Samantray, Gourab Panda, Loriya Mohanty, Shovna Mishra.
On this context, Our team tried to know from one of the Commentators, Mr. Gourab Panda. He Said -” Its been a long journey. After doing tons of matches in some National and International leagues I have been asked to do my audition for the upcoming IPL. The process was tough too. Being a non cricketer it’s not at all easy. There have been a very few non cricketers in the world who are circket commentators. And the job of such commentators are to Focus on story telling and to make it relevant for common people. This is exactly what My motto is. It is to find out a perfect balance between cricketing inteligence and relevance for people who watch it as a fun element.
There is no one to look up to in odia commentary as it has never been done that professionally. So there is no trend to follow. All I have to do is to set a trend. As lead commentator I will try to make it as qualitative as Hindi or English commentary if not better than them.
