Gupchup , the most famous food of the state popularly known as Golgoppa or panipuri accross India . Gupchup stalls are most found in the road side of city . Mostly near parks ,shopping malls and river banks . In Odisha , gupchup is best found in Cuttack “The Silver city “ . The food is most famous among girls and kids . Before few years gupchup was a cheap , and was easily available 4 pieces in Re.1 while now with the same price hardly we can get a piece . Still its the most desired food in the evening . Panipuri / Golgoppa / Gupchup is the favouite junk food all over Odisha but its famous in Cuttack where you will find a gupchup stall in every corner of the city. It is the best choice during the festive season like Durga Puja,Kali Puja & the great Bali yatra .
It is said that you went to Cuttack & didn’t have Gupchup & Dahiwada then the visit is not counted .
