Description:
Goddess Harachandi temple is at a distance of 25 km from Puri. It is situated on the side of the sea where the river from Atharnala(Branch of river Bhargavi) entered into the sea near Harachandi temple. It is the best place for a picnic. In the side of Harachandi temple, there was only one old route from Puri to Decan via Chilka lake.
Sea Beach:
This beach is very famous and known for the shrine of Goddess Harachandi. It is situated at about 27 Km from the city it is a lonely and beautiful beach and its meandering sand dunes is quite enchanting.

The temple of Goddess Baliharachandi is another must-visit destination for all coming to Baliharachandi Beach. It is located close to the beachside on a sandy hill and pays homage to Goddess Durga in her Eight-Armed (Asta-Bhuja) form. Goddess is worshipped here in her avatar of ‘Baliharachandi Mata’. It is believed that the deity protects the fishermen and the helmsman from danger.
