Durga Puja 2025 Important Dates

• Mahalaya – 21 September 2025 (Sunday)
  Marks the arrival of Goddess Durga and the beginning of festive celebrations.
  In Odisha, we also say it as Khadicadha Amabasya.

• Maha Shashthi   – 28 September 2025 (Saturday)
  The official start of Durga Puja celebrations in pandals. Puja begins in almost all the Puja mandaps in Odisha.

• Saptami – 29 September 2025 (Sunday)
  Major puja rituals and pandal hopping begin across cities.

• Maha Ashtami – 30 September 2025 (Monday)
  The most significant day of the festival with grand puja and celebrations.

• Maha Navami – 01 September 2025 (Tuesday)
  Final day of worship before the immersion festivities.

• Vijaya Dashami / Dussehra – 02 October 2025 (Wednesday)
   Ravana Podi & Bisharjan of some of the Medha in Cuttack.

• Ekadashi / Bhasani – 03 October 2025 (Wednesday)
  The festival concludes with idol immersion (Visarjan)
