Jianta Bhoota (The Living Ghost) depicts the plight of the Dongaria Kondh tribals of Koraput region to save the Niyamgiri hills from being taken over for mining activities.  Mumbai-based internationally acclaimed Odia cinematographer A. K. Bir has been its director of photography and the movie has been produced by Akhaya Kumar Parija. The film is produced by Muscat-based non-resident Indian A.K.Parija.
