The Shree Jagannath Mahotsav
The Shree Jagannath Mahotsav was organized from January 9th to 14th on the premises of Sivananda Boys High School here at Khandagiri, Bhubaneswar. The event was inaugurated by Puri Shankaracharya Swami Nischalananda Saraswati in the presence of Puri Gajapati Dibyasingh Deb.
The main objective of the fest was an annual spiritual congregation to create awareness of the great Jagannath culture. The event was being organized by Shree Jagannath Sanskruti Parisad under the patronage of Jagannath temple administration, Puri. All the famous ‘beshas’ of Lord Jagannath were displayed by the parisad and all delicacies of ‘Chhappan Bhoga’ served to the deities regularly for public view. Apart from this, a photo exhibition depicting the rituals of the Nabakalebara festival in a sequential order was organized.
As per the news, more than 500 priests from across the country have attended this religious gathering.
