Potala Alu Kasha Ingredients
Potala (parbal) – 150gm
Alu (Patato) – 100gm
Piaaja (onion) – 50gm
Rasuna (garlic) – 10 cloves.
Ada (ginger) – 20gm
Tamato -50gm
Jira powder (cumin) – ½ table spoon
Dhania Powder (Coriander) – ½ table spoon
Red Chilli Powder– ½ table spoon
Mustard Oil – 100ml
Turmeric- ½ table spoon
Salt –to tasteotala
Potala Alu Kasha Reciepe
First cut the Potala in round shape and potato in square shape. Then slice onion.
Make a paste of ginger, garlic and tomato.
Put a pan on fire and add mustard oil (1 table spoon). And add potato and parbal.
Then fry it till its color turn into brown and then pour it to another plate.
Then add oil again and fry onion till it becomes brown.
Then add ginger, garlic and tomato paste. then add cumin powder, jira powder, turmeric, red chilli powder and salt.
And fry it for 10-15 minutes and then add a little water for make it gravy. Finally garnish with some coriander leaf.
Tips:
- For a richer flavor, you can add 1/2 cup of coconut milk or yogurt to the pot along with the water.
- If you don’t have garam masala, you can substitute 1 teaspoon of ground cumin, 1/2 teaspoon of ground coriander, and 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.
- You can also add other vegetables to this dish, such as green beans, carrots, or cauliflower.
