Padmashri Haladhar Nag’s Kavyanjali released on Gandhi Jayanti
On the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the English translation of Padmashri Haladhar Nag’s poems released at ChacTea,Bhubaneswar.The release was preceded by a deliberation on Translations and it was moderated by the noted author Mr. Ramendra Kumar. Shri Nag was present in the event & released the book.He also spoke about his journey .
Haldhar Nag was awarded Padma Shri this year (2016) for literature. He has written over 1000 poems in Koshali language. Unless his works are translated into English he will not receive the worldwide recognition that he deserves.
‘Kavyanjali’ is the first volume of Haldhar’s poetry translated into the English by Surendra Nath. It will be launched on Gandhi Jayanti (2016) at Cha cTea, Bhubaneswar, (Newly inaugurated Tea Experience House). The inauguration will be preceded by a deliberation on ‘Translations’ by the eminent author Ramendra Kumar, whose books have been translated into many languages.
