Lord Jagannath will turn Warrior in November 2020
A long wait of 25 years for all disciples of Lord Jagannath. The miraculous Nagarjuna Besha of Mahaprabhu Sri Jagannath is going to be held on 27 November 2020. This rare darshan of the Lord falls on the twelfth day of the holy Karthik month known as Pabitra Karthika Dwadashi Tithi. Lord Jagannath with siblings will be dressed as warriors this holy day.
In the month of Kartik which falls in November of English calendar. Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra, and Sudarshana dressed in Nagarjuna Besa in the day when the holy Panchuka falls for six days instead of five days. This Besha is known as Veera Besha.
For all the disciples of Lord Jagannath, the Besha is said to be a blessing of a lifetime. The last time Nagarjuna of the Lord fell was on 16.11.1994. According to the information available on various sources, this holy day is celebrated on 26.11.1993, 3.11.1968, 16.11.1967, and 26.11.1966. It is said that the number of devotees gathers in the event is five times of the Rath Yatra. Though the situation can’t be imagined as of now due to this Corona Virus Pandemic it was estimated that about 5 million people may attend.
Notably, last time in the year 1994, four peoples were killed in the stampede due to heavy crowds.
