Eighty Odia artists from across the world are exhibiting their work at Rashtriya Lalit Kala Akademi here. A magazine and Suvadra Trust have organised the event named ‘Interlude to the Bhubaneswar International Art Fair’.
The exhibition was inaugurated by London-based artist Prafulla Mohanty.Mr.Mohanty said, “This is a chance for artists from the state to come together and discuss trends in the field,”.
The art exhibition has displayed work by eminent artists and art students.The artworks on display have been presented in different mediums like paintings, printmaking, photography, sculpture, installations and video-based art.The modern section holds a special display by Prafulla Mohanty on abstract concepts such as bindu, shunya, shanti and other concepts derived from Hindu philosophy and from his life experience as an Odia.
The exhibition also features work by eminent artists such as Muralidhar Tali,Dinanath Pathy, Bipracharan Mohanty,Jatin Das, Durga Prasad Das, Rabi Narayan Rath, Birendra Pani, Pratul Dash, J. P. Das, Ramahari Jena, Tarakanta Parida and several young and talented artists such as Pratap Jena, Pinaki R. Mohanty, Sangram Rout, Biswaranjan Kar, Satyabhama Majhi, Biswajita Moharana, Helen Brahma, Nityananda Ojha, Kanta Kishor Moharana and Mayadhar Sahu.
The five-day event is also hosting discussion sessions with artists on the connection of art with literature, architecture, performance, smart city, films and its dynamics pertaining to the public.
