The train accident of Balasore is one of the worst in recent times. Many passengers are feared to be trapped in the derailed train.
Over 80 people are feared dead and more than 300 people injured as 10-12 coaches of the Shalimar-Chennai Coromandel Express and 3-4 coaches of another train from Yeswanthpur to Howrah derailed near Baleswar in Odisha late Friday night.
As rescue operations are underway, many passengers are feared to be trapped.
SRC Odisha and DG Fire Services have already been dispatched to the spot to supervise arrangements. Medical college and hospitals in and around Balasore are kept on alert and SCBMC have been alerted too.
