Are you planning for a short vacation for two to three days you can try Panchalingeswar and Chandipur of Balasore.Panchalingeswar is situated on the base of the Nilgiri hills and Chandipur is a beach resort.Panchalingeswar is a place full of adventures . You can trek on the top of the mountains to see the forest and the whole Nilgiri hill range. If you are lucky enough you may see a pack of elephants passing by your path. Take a local boy as your guide who can show you the ways.You can also go for Watch Tower which is partly immersed inside the lake and was used by the kings for hunting elephants some 300 years back.Waterfall is another source of attraction.
Chandipur sea is not as the normal sea beach. The sea is famous for its unique behaviour.The sea retreats 5 km from the actual beach and you have to walk a lot to the sea. The distance by road From Bhubaneswar to Panchalingeswar is 198 kms .
