PM Modi praises Odisha’s VSSUT students for Sounding Rockets. Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised the students of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) located at Burla in Odisha’s Sambalpur district, who created indigenously developed Sounding Rockets.
On Maan Ki Baat programme PM Narendra Modi said – “We take pride in the fact that the satellites developed by our students and Sounding Rockets have reached space. The Sounding Rockets made by Odisha university students have also created many records,”
The Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology had last year registered its name in the Limca Book of Records as the first student body in the country to develop and launch a Sounding Rocket. It was designed and developed by students of Electrical, Mechanical and Civil Engineering departments of VSSUT.
