Nabakalebara of Lord Jagannath is just a month away and Lord Sudarshan and Lord Balabhadra’s Daru has already reached Puri . Now some says that the Daru of 2015 will be kept safe for the next Nabakalebara and the daru which was identified and cut in 1996 will be used to make the new idols of the Lord of the Universe . But this is not true . The Daru of 2015 will be used and not of 1996 . The lord in the Sri Mandir (Lord Jagannath temple , Puri) are made of 1996 Daru . So make your confusion crystal clear . About Nabakalebara : Nabakalebara literally means “New Body” is an ancient ritual associated with most of the Lord Jagannath Temples when the Idols of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, Subhadra and Sudarshan are replaced by a new set of Idols.
