Sudarshan Pattnaik ” The inventor of sand art in India”

Sudarshan Pattnaik ” The inventor of sand art in India” was born in Puri, (The Land of Lord Jagannath) Odisha . While playing with sands, he has developed the art of making small sculptures.  He is a self learner and  has learned this form of art by himself without any guidance but only by practice and creative ideas. He started sculpting images on sand since the age of seven. He has designed hundreds of sand sculpture. In the recent years people have started focusing on this art form. Now Sudarshan has many students working under his arm.With his skills and creativity, he has tried to represent the current global issues, concerns besides culture like Global Warming, AIDS etc. Till date he has given life to hundreds of sand sculptures. He has captured most renowned personalities of the world in his sculptures like Obama, Michael Jackson and many others. He has considered art as a service and tried to spread the message of  brotherhood, peace and love through his art.Sudarsan won the People’s Choice Award at the 1st Moscow International Sand Sculpture Championship held in Russia.
