The word Saptasajya meaning (Sapta) seven and (Sajya) bed. The place is just 12km from Dhenkanal town and 62 km from Bhubaneswar, the place holds an important place in the tourism map of Odisha.
Things to Know about Saptasajya
It is believed that the Pandavas stayed here for a few days during their incognito period (Agyata Basa). It is also believed that Lord Ram has spent several days on this hill during his exile from Ayodhya. Some also say that the “Saptarishi” had their ashrams here.
