Pathani Samanta Planetarium BBSR
The Pathani Samanta Planetarium is located in Bhubaneswar with a view to create awareness in Astronomy, Astrophysics and Space Science among the people.There are different shows about different interesting activities like night sky viewing, audio visual programs and poster shows etc. It also displays various astronomical devices.
Pathani Samanta Planetarium is located near Acharya Vihar square towards Sainik School road. The planetarium runs four shows daily between 2 PM to 6 PM – two in Odia, one in Hindi and one in English. The duration of each show is 30 min. The planetarium has a well facilitated library containing books on science and technology. It remain open on Tuesday to Sunday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. It charge a very small fee for entrance. Science Park , Science Museum , Iskon Temple are some of the nearby places to visit . The place is best for picnic of school children.
