Daringbadi popularly known as The Kashmir of Odisha” is 3500 ft. above sea level. The hill station is situated in the district of Kandhamal, (Phulbani) with latitude of 54 – 90 North and longitude of 84.05 to 84.20 East. The unpolluted environment makes the visitors feel the beauty of the place and an eternal peace .This place is gifted with natural scenery like pine trees,coffee gardens and beautiful valleys. It is the only place in Odisha which experiences snow fall during Winter season.Journey to the hills of Daringbadi is an experience in itself.Daringbadi has a large population of tribals who have unique customs and beliefs and maintain an ethos which is distinctly different from that of the mainstream culture. This region has rich cultural heritage.Like it is said coming to India and not visiting Kashmir is of no meaning . In the same way visiting Odisha without Daringbadi is of no meaning .
