Diwali without firecrackers is like tea without sugar, this pandemic forced the people of Odisha to celebrate Diwali without crackers. Not only crackers but there were also restrictions in celebrating Kali Puja in various parts of the state. The Diya’s (earthen lamps), candles, and decorative electric lights illuminated houses by creating the festive spirit & everyone celebrated the festival of lights & crackers with the hope to celebrate all the festivals in 2021 with double joy and happiness. Let the Band Baja, music, and firecrackers bursting to be doubled in 2021 with blessings of the Goddess.

There was a pain in the heart of every Katki (the people of Cuttack) this year. All the festivals including Durga Puja, Kali Puja, Laxmi Puja, and Baliyatra were either canceled or celebrated with lots of restrictions to save the people from COVID 19.
