Soon after the famous Cuttack Durga Puja , the choudwar Kumar Purnima festival begins . Like Cuttack Durga Puja , OdiaLive brings you the Update of the historic Choudwar Laxmi Puja Festival 2015 or Choudwar Kumar Purnima Yatra. In the festival , the city is decorated with colorful lights and decorative .There are about 40 Puja mandaps where idols of Goddess Durga , Lord Shiva , Goddess Laxmi , Lord Krishna and Lord Hanuman are installed . Melodies/Orchestras are also organised in various Puja mandaps . The festive continues for 4 days & on the final day the idols are brought for immersion in River Birupa. The Festive is also known as Small Baliyatra in the locality.
