Lord Jagannath Temple in Jindal Steel Plant Angul
A new Jagannath temple has been built inside Jindal Nagar by Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL) in the township area of its 6 MTPA Steel Complex at Angul. The devotees can have darshan of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra, Goddess Mahalaxmi, Lord Balaji, Lord Shiva, Lord Sriram.
The premises of Lord Jagannath Temple is spread over 3.7 acres of land and took four years for completion. The main temple, made in Kalinga Style of Nagar Architecture is of 67 ft. height. Renowned Sculptor Padma Vibhushan Shri Raghunath Mohapatra and Ahmedabad based temple architect Nikhil Sompura and others were associated with the creation of the majestic temple. External development and landscaping work has been done by Sudipto Ghosh.
