OPL-II got off to a colourful start

The 2nd Edition of State version of IPL the “Indian Premier League” i.e Odisha Premier League (OPL-II) got off to a colourful start at Barabati Stadium,Cuttack  on 1st May,2013 . The opening ceremony, featured song and dance performance by Ollywood Superstar  Anubhav Mohanty. Navya, Ollywood dream girl Priya, Papu Pom pom, Abhijit Majumdar, Muskan and Amit Dance Group, joined the superstar and turned it to be a grand entertainment show. OCA Secretary Asirbad Behera , president Ranjib Biswal  , Urban Development Minister Debi Prasad Mishra, Barabati MLA Debasis Samantaray, Cuttack Mayor Soumendra Ghosh, and other office-bearers of the state body were present on the occasion. Revived after a gap of one year, OPL-II, featuring eight teams and 176 players. Altogether 28 matches will take place at two venues i.e  Barabati Stadium and VSS Stadium (Sambalpur). The final will be played at Barabati Stadium on May 12 and the champion team will be  awarded by Rs 3 lakhs. OPL 1st edition Barabati Tigers captain Biplab Samantaray is the costliest player of the tournament.
